Freedom of Information laws globally: What is really delivered?

We’ve mentioned the varying climates for freedom of information around the world. As new democracies emerge, more freedom of information laws go on the books, but do they really have “teeth?” Read this AP story in the Tennessean that details what happened when agency reporters sent out questionnaires to the European Union and 105 countries with right-to-know laws or constitutional provisions.
