When cultural products travel, sometimes they wear strange pants…

SpongeBob – Egypt’s #1 Ramadan lantern for two years in a row.

We will talk later in the semester at the many different forms cultural products assume as they travel, so I wanted to point you to a recent example reported by Clark Boyd in PRI’s The World“Amid War and Chaos SpongeBob Squarepants Takes Over the Nile.” After reading and listening to the story, take a look at the tumblr  SpongeBob on the Nile.
